Over the years of serving the Carolinas, we've worked on making our facility bigger and better, including additions to our skydiving aircraft!

The PAC 750 XL Skydiving Plane

The PAC 750 XL carries up to 17 jumpers to altitude in under 15 minutes and is the newest member of the Piedmont Fleet. As we’ve grown into a bigger and better skydiving facility over the years of serving Charlotte, Greensboro, the Carolinas and surrounding areas, we’ve found the need to improve our fleet, and this aircraft does just that!

This skydiving plane can reach a maximum speed of 196mph, has an average cruise speed of 160mph, and has an average climbing speed of about 100mph. It has an impressive rate of climb up to 2,000 ft per minute and can take up to 17 parachutists to altitude in under 15 minutes. The PAC can easily reach an altitude of 20,000 feet, which makes it the perfect plane for our high altitude skydives, which reach an altitude of around 17,500 feet.

The King Air A90

Piedmont Skydiving’s King Air A90 was our very first turbine aircraft and is known as “Royal Faithful” around the dropzone. Slightly smaller than the PAC750, this plane is still a favorite of both experienced and tandem skydivers. Its simple and elegant design also makes it a beautiful sight in the sky.

This multi-engine turbine aircraft can carry 13 jumpers to altitude in only about 10 minutes. The King Air’s maximum speed is about 290mph and can climb at a rate over 2,000ft per minute!

I was not disappointed, this crew knows how to laugh and set you at ease if you feel uptight about the jump. I can say this 7 of us went 4 femails and 3 males all male jump coaches and no one was made to feel uncomfortable. My drop coachs name was Kyle and he was the absolute best! Thank you Peidmont Skydiving for really making this a GREAT experience! We most definitely will be back time and time again.

Went to piedmont for my first skydive, and I'm so glad i did! the experience was phenomenal! the staff was super laid back and friendly. had a little nerves going into it but they quickly made me feel super comfortable. I love this place. I've asked them so many dumb questions at this point they even know me by name… and I've only been there twice. They're extremely patient with new people. The MOMENT I got there I felt so good about the energy there and the people welcomed me with open arms. The instructors are knowledgeable and are great people. Not only all that, I made it down safely twice already. After my first jump, I decided to pursue my license because I know I'm hooked. I highly recommend these guys!!!!
